Middletown...Anna Marie (Smith) Goble-Tappan-Sellers, 94, lifetime resident of the Middletown area, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Millers Merry Manor in Middletown.She was born September 20, 1914 in Henry County, IN, the daughter of Sylvester and Nettie Hugel Smith.She winter in Auburndale Florida for many years.She retired from Delco Remy, Division of General Motors in Anderson where she had been a clerk for over 31 years.She was the oldest living member of the Sixth Street Christian Church in Middletown, and was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #110. She was also a member of the Madison County Homemakers. She was also a member of the Middletown Lions Club.She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands: Paul Goble, Herbert ""Roy"" Tappan, and Wilbur Sellers, a step son: Beverly Goble, 3 brothers: Carl, Robert and Fred Smith, and 2 sisters: Donna Pittsford and Martha Babcock.Survivors include a step daughter: Jane (Mark) Young of Middletown and step son: Bruce Sellers of Anderson, stepgrandchildren: Stephanie (Jason) Benson of Greenfield and Shawnda Young of Denver, CO, Thomas (Bonnie) Tappan of Andeson and Timothy (Tama) Tappan of Nashville, TN, Step great grandchild: Sydney Benson of Greenfield, Nieces and nephews: Eugene (Margaret) Pittsford of Middletown, Kenneth Pittsford of Daleville, Larry Babcock of Tucson, AZ, Mary Ellen Beitman of Ft. Wayne, Susan (Tom) Elliott of Butler, PA, Jane (James) Gardner of Crossville, TN, George Smith of Centrailia, IL, Howard (Jean) Smith of Middletown, John (Mary) Smith of Daleville, Don (Sue) White of Middletown and a special great nephew: Rodney White of Middletown, special caregiver: Kathy Meister of Middletown.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. Maynard Powell officiating.Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park.Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM with OES memorial services at 8:00 at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the Sixth Street Christian Church.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
