Anderson...Ancil E. Chambers, 93, former Daleville resident, died January 5, 2004 at Bethany Pointe Healthcare in Anderson.He was born in Bicknell, Indiana, December 6, 1910, the son of William and Jessie Cassell Chambers.He was a 1929 graduate of Bicknell High School and retired from Delco Battery in 1975 after 44 years of service.He enjoyed fishing, golf, bowling, and coached several baseball and basketball teams at Delco for many years.He was preceded in death by 1 son: Joe in 1996 and 5 brothers and 3 sisters.Survivors include his wife of 69 years Loucille (Slinkard), 2 sons: Jan (Barbara) Chambers of Elwood and Fritz (Suzetta) Chambers of Elwood, daughter: Dianne Norris of Noblesville, sisters: Marjorie Dunham of Farmersburg and Virginia (Carl) Villwock of Edwardsport, sister-in-laws: Margaret Chambert and Mildred Chambers of Muncie, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am at Ballard and Sons Fuenral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with Rev.
