Adrian Owen Ayres

Middletown...Adrian Owen Ayres, 84, resident of rural Middletown, passed away early Saturday morning, March 3, 2007 at his residence.He was born in Osgood, Indiana, September 25, 1922, the son of Edward E. and Elizabeth A (metcalf Swainheart.He attended Shelby High School and was a US Army Veteran of WW 2. He was awarded 4 bronze stars and landed at Casablanca aboard the USS West Point.He retired from Delco Remy in 1985 and was a member of the UAW 662 and the Middletown Church of the Nazarene.Survivors are his wife of 49 years: Dolores Haines Ayres of Middletown, 3 daughters: Adrienne Hall of Dallas, Rebecca Lyn Martin (John) of Dallas and Colette Hamilton (Gary) of Bloomington, 1 brother: Charles Ayres of Jabez, KY, 2 sisters: Jean Thompson (Milo) of Carmel and Bennie Byers of New Mexico, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister-in-laws: Shirley Justice of Monticello and Katherine Alspaugh (Larry) of Huntington, brother-in-law: Charles Haines of Florida.A very special thank you to the Church family for all your prayers, assistance, and care.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, 698 North 5th, Middletown with Rev. David Whitteberry and Dr. Philip C.
