Moonsville...William David ""Bear"" Hendricks, 61, resident of Moonsville, died Tuesday at his residence after an extended illness.He was born in Pendleton, March 8, 1941, the son of Carl and Rebecca Hendricks.He retired from Halliburton Energy Services in Houston Texas, in 1984. He had been a fire chief for the Dickinson, Texas Fire Department where he had lived for several years.Survivors include his wife of 31 years: Carolyn of Moonsville, his mother: Rebecca Anderson of San Diego, CA, 2 sisters: Karel Lee (Bill) Geller of Sparta, TN, and Madolyn Walker of San Diego, 1 daughter: Margie Hendricks of Anderson, stepdaughters: Debby (Sergio) Sanchez of Dickinson, TX and Robin (Rick) Carter of Indianapolis, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, mother in law: Mildred Wilkinson of Anderson and 2 sister in laws: Marilyn (Larry) Booher of Albany, IN and Sharon Fulciniti of Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.Preceded in death by 1 brother: Ted Hendricks, his father: Carl Hendricks and 1 step son: Doug Groover.Cremation will take place by Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Memorial contributions may be made to Carolyn Hendricks, for a future tree planning project in Falls Park in Pendleton.
